Owned X-ray apparatus allows for the evaluation of residual stresses and the analysis of the retained austenite content. Measurements are taken with a validated method based on Bragg’s law. It allows to perform analyzes for ferritic steels, but also for crystalline materials – taking into account even ceramics. Small size of device makes this equipment suitable for both laboratory and field researches.
The construction of the measuring apparatus allows to test complex shaped surfaces – such as the inner surfaces of the sleeve or crank. It also has a capability of stresses measurement in linear welds. Additional expansion module allows to take the measurements of Young’s modulus.
